Blue Earth County Board Summary
The Blue Earth County Board meeting was held Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Blue
Earth County Courthouse, Commissioners’ Room, was attended by Commissioners Kip
Bruender, Patty O’Connor, Kevin Paap, Mark Piepho, and Vance Stuehrenberg. Also present
were County Administrator Bob Meyer, County Attorney Division Chief Megan Gaudette
Coryell, Assistant County Attorney Jacob Brekke, and Administrative Assistant Stephanie
Jahnke.
Commissioners voted 5-0, unless otherwise noted:
• Approve a resolution for the County Ditch 74 redetermination of benefits for the
Gronewold and Zarn properties, Decoria township.
• Approve a resolution for acceptance of contract for the County Ditch 35 improvements,
Mapleton township.
• Approve a resolution to outlet lands into County Ditch 16, Mapleton township.
• Approve a resolution for the removal of portions of County Ditch 35, Mapleton township.
• Approve a resolution to outlet lands into County Ditch 35, Mapleton township.
• Approve a resolution for removal of portions of County Ditch 57, Mapleton township.
• Accept the low bid from R&E Enterprises for the County State Aid Highway 40 Slope
Repair.
• Accept the low bid from Safety Signs for the 2025 HSIP Project.
• Approve the 2024 Public Works Department Annual Report.
• Approve the 2024 Parks Department Annual Report.
• Approve an Agency Agreement for preliminary engineering along County State Aid
Highway 27 and 211th
Street, Eagle Lake.
• Approve a resolution for preliminary engineering along County State Aid Highway 27
and 211th
Street, Eagle Lake.
• Approve a project sponsor agreement with the City of Eagle Lake for the County State
Aid Highway 27 and 211th
Street redesign.
• Approve the June 24, 2025 Board Minutes.
• Approve the bills as presented.
Approve an exempt gambling permit to the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, Bend of
the River Chapter.
• Approve a temporary liquor license to LocAle Brewing Company.
• Approve a recycled mattress fee increase.
