Blue Earth County Board Summary

The Blue Earth County Board meeting was held Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse, Commissioners’ Room, was attended by Commissioners Kip Bruender, Patty O’Connor, Kevin Paap, Mark Piepho and Vance Stuehrenberg.  Also, present were County Administrator Bob Meyer, County Attorney Pat McDermott, and Administrative Assistant Stephanie Jahnke.  

Commissioners voted 5-0, unless otherwise noted:

Approve a petition for outlet of County Ditch 78, setting the hearing date for September 10, 2024 (Garden City and Vernon Center Townships). 
Approve a change order to Kruger Excavating for County Ditch 35 (Mapleton Township).  
Approve a grant application for the Safe and Secure Courthouse Initiative Grant Program.  
Approve the MnDNR Shore Fishing Cooperative Agreement and Resolution. 
Approve a petition for redetermination of benefits for County Ditch 60 (Sterling Township). 
Approve a construction agreement for CSAH 20 in Lake Crystal.
Approve the July 30, 2024, Board Minutes.
Approve the bills as presented. 
Approve the appointments of Kelley Haeder and Erika Sletten (Alternate) to the State Community Health Services Advisory Committee. 
Approve a tobacco license to United Fuels Midwest, LLC dba Le Hillier Quick Mart, Mankato, MN.
