Blue Earth County Board Summary

The Blue Earth County Board meeting was held Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. in the Blue Earth County Historic Courthouse, Commissioners’ Room, was attended by Commissioners Kip Bruender, Patty O’Connor, Kevin Paap, Mark Piepho and Vance Stuehrenberg. Also, present were County Administrator Bob Meyer, County Attorney Pat McDermott, and Administrative Assistant Stephanie Jahnke.

Commissioners voted 5-0, unless otherwise noted:

•Approve a petition for partial abandonment for County Ditch 60 (Sterling Township).

•Approve a petition for redetermination of benefits for County Ditch 60 (Sterling Township).

•Approve a repair report for Judicial Ditch 15 (Lincoln Township).

•Approve a resolution to Darren Kaisersatt for an interim use permit to operate a motorcycle repair business and meditation classes (Decoria Township).

•Approve a resolution to Dan Anderson for an interim use permit to operate a reception/banquet/meeting facility (Lyra Township).

•Approve a contract with Advanced Correctional Health Care for jail nursing hours.

•Approve the Human Services items as presented.

•Approve the purchase of a 2024 Excavator.

•Approve the July 9, 2024, Board Minutes.

•Approve the bills as presented.

•Approve a change order to the All Season’s Arena policy.

•Approve change orders to the All Season’s Arena reconstruction project.

•Approve a tobacco license to MN Stores LLC dba Snak Atak, Mapleton, MN.
