CITY OF MINNESOTA LAKE FILING NOTICE

NOTICE TO VOTERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy will be accepted during the regular business hours commencing on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 and closing at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the Minnesota Lake City Hall, 103 Main Street N, Minnesota Lake, for an eligible person who desires to have his/her own name placed on the General Election ballot of November 5, 2024 as a candidate for one of the following positions:

POSITIONS OF OFFICE TO BE FILLED:

MAYOR

- TWO YEAR TERM

(1 position)

CITY COUNCIL MEMBER

- FOUR YEAR TERM

(2 positions)

To be eligible as a candidate, the person filing must be an eligible voter, 21 years of age or more, and must have maintained a residence in the City of Minnesota Lake for 30 days before the general election and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office. At the time of filing, each candidate shall pay the City Clerk, a filing fee of two dollars ($2.00) as required by statute.

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 205.13 that a general election will be held on November 5, 2024 for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below:
